I'm stoked to finally get this one out, it sounds really good and is a tribute to how far New Zealand hip hop artists have come in the last few years... big ups to all the artists who got on this and to the dudes that missed out, well, I'm sorry, next time?!

Game of the Year?

Okay so GTA4 looks pretty, the A.I. is stunning, in game music is fantastic, online game play is hours of fun, but I'm a little miffed that the solo game isn't longer. GTA 3 seemed to take an age to finish, but this new version, well, I'm 50% through after 2 weeks of alternating NBA08 and GTA4. Also lacking on the PS3 version is being able to have a custom track list of songs, although there are rumors that a future update might include some sort of patch for this.

I was stoked when I got a newsletter from EA games this afternoon to find out that 2 contenders for my game of the year are not too far from releasing...

Spore

This game looks nuts and has the potential to be played forever. I watched this video awhile ago and have been waiting patiently ever since. The initial release will be a creature creator in which players will create character content for the actual product. Hard out.

Battlefield: Bad Company

I've been messing about on BF2 for awhile and finding it fun. BFBC, however looks next level and I'll for sure try and get a copy when it comes out.

R.I.P Camu Tao

Very sad news...

Today, at around 2pm, our dear friend, family member and musical collaborator Tero “CAMU TAO” Smith passed away in his home town of Columbus, Ohio. Tero had been quietly fighting for his life for the last year and a half after being diagnosed with lung cancer.

To those who knew Tero, he was an almost uncategorizable force of nature. Wild, hilarious, proud, loving, tough, outspoken, spontaneous and brilliant. He wore his heart on his sleeve and he dripped creativity, leaving inspiration and awe in the hearts and minds of anyone who was fortunate enough to see him work.

We, his friends and family, have truly had our collective hearts broken by his passing. Not only because of the loss of our friend, but because of the loss of his contribution to those who never knew what we knew about his talent and his potential. He was the secret that no one wanted to keep and we always knew that one day his vision and his heart could change music forever the way he changed all of our lives.

His departure from us all 1 month away from his 31st birthday is nothing less than a tragedy… nothing less than a crime. he was a gift to us all and he is irreplaceable. Rest in peace, Mu. We will love you forever. May god bless you and your family.
